BANPONG. 15 November 1997: Sarasit school celebrates its 70th year. With this celebration, Fr. Thepharat Pitisant, the Rector, launched the fund raising campaign to build a new five storey building to replace the existing one. On the evening of the feast day the Rector, in collaboration with the past pupils of the school organized a dinner party for 300 tables (chinese-food) and charged each dinner 200 baht. Besides the taste of the best chinese food in town,there were parades of famous singers and a fashion cat walk. The cost of the dinnerpar ty was sponsored by the past pupils. Hopefully, within the period of 2 years the school and the past pupils will be able to find the necessary money (100,000,000 baht) to complete the building with a gymnasium and a big swimming pool in time for the celebration of the72nd birthday of the King.
