Don Bosco Sports Center

Pakkred, Thailand, 19 September 2018 -- Thai Goalball National Team in now in Retreat Camp at Don Bosco Sports Center, Pakkred, Thailand, from August to October 2018 in preparation for the 2018 Asian Para Games, hosted in Indonesia, from 6 to 13 October 2018.


Five alumni from the Skills Development Center for the Blind will represent the National Goalball team: Mr.Cholathee Sukchum, Mr.Pornchai Jadmee, Mr.Noppadon Poosrisoam, Mr.Booncha Fankamai, and Mr.Sivarin Pornpirun. Some other alumni also join in other sports like Football, namely Mr.Panyawut Kupan, Mr.Kittikorn Buadee, and so on.


Mr. Sivarin Pornpiroon is the representative of the team. According to him, "For us, Don Bosco is our father. We are all indebted to this center which molds us. Without this center and the Salesian members, we would not be ourselves today. This center provides the future for us, which makes us visually impaired, have a life of dignity and quality."


The Center is run by the Salesians since 1978. At present, it is under the directorate of Brother Suwan Jutasompakorn, SDB.
