Sihanoukville, Cambodia, 14 June 2018 -- Fr. Eugene Xalxo, Rector of Don Bosco Sihanoukville, presided the Holy Eucharist at the beginning of the 7 Days mourning for late teacher Sarath Seng, who lost his life during the explosion of an oxygen tank last Thursday, 7th of June at 13:14 local time inside a store of the Mechanic Department. Fr. Son, Parish priest of Sihanoukville church, other diocesan priests, teachers and students participated of the community prayer hold in the same side of the incident. 


The Salesian Local Community of Sihanoukville thanks all the persons sending messages of nearness, prayers and donations for the support of the wounded, the widow and children of teacher Sarath Seng and the reconstruction of the side. 


The school opens its doors this Monday, while the direction is planning some activities to support the Mechanic students to recover from their lost and the psychological impact of the tragedy.  Please see down the financial report of the lost and how you could make a contribution to support the Don Bosco Sihanoukville community in this difficult moment.

Teacher Sarath Seng is a past pupil of Don Bosco Sihanoukville and he stayed as a teacher for more than 10 years becoming the Manager of Mechanic. He let two small children.

Following the Cambodian tradition during funerals, students and teacher wear white colour and have a meal together with the family of teacher Sarath Seng. After it, there will be also Buddhist moments in his house.
