Asia Taize meeting on August 8-12

By Fr. Antonio Leung, SDB
CIN Delegate for the YM

Hong Kong, 10 February 2018 -- "We would like to inform you that we are going to have a Salesian Youth Gathering in August after the International Taize Congress in Hong Kong especially for those Salesian Youth participants. The details are below:

Salesian Youth Gathering 2018

  • Date: 12th August, 2018
  • Time: 14:00-20:30
  • Venue: Aberdeen Technical School, Hong Kong
  • Address: 1, Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong

Other details and registration for this event will be announced on April.

Of course all participants for the International Taize Congress in Hong Kong should register according to the instruction shown on the Taize website. The logistic on 8th-12th (morning) August will be held by the Taize organizers.

The Youth Ministry of CIN province is not the core group of the Taize, we just provide accomodation in one of our Salesian Boarding school for the participants of the International Taize Congress. Meanwhile, we are not sure if Salesian youth will stay together in one school or not.

Please make sure that a remark is made to show that you belong to the Salesian Youth when register. The final decision will be from the Taize Organizer.

Hopefully, we can provide accommodation for about 150 persons on 12th August night at Aberdeen Technical School for those who will leave on the 13th.

We will inform you more details on April. If you have and enquiry, please don't hesitate to contact me.
