Complete Salesian Family meets in 2018

By FMA Cambodia SC Team

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 20 January 2018 -- Sixty two participants from various Salesian family groups, namely the SDB, FMA, VDB, Salesian Cooperators, Don Bosco Past pupils and MHC Past Pupils and Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (SIHM) were present for the first Salesian Family day of the year 2018, held at Don Bosco School, Teuk Thla (FMA).

The day began with the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Roel Soto, Provincial Delegate for Cambodia. Fr Gerardo, Fr. Charles Velardo (from Thailand), Fr. Mark and Fr. Joseph were also the con-celebrants. After the Mass the participants moved to the High School hall for the Rector Majors' Strenna commentary sharing.

Sr. Jessica Salvana, Provincial of Cambodia – Myanmar welcomed and introduced the participants. Fr Gerardo Ravasco, the Principal of Don Bosco school, Battambang presented the Strenna 2018, “Lord, Give me this water” ‘Let us cultivate the art of listening and of accompaniment’. His presentation was very creative and lively. The videos were very appropriate and led us to understand better the Strenna message. After a break we gathered once again to share our resonances and some Family news. After the photo session, the FMA - Salesian sisters gave us a sumptuous meal that ended the day.

All participants felt encouraged in their listening and accompanying the young people.
