Thirteen New Postulants - FMA Vietnam 2017
Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam, 7 October 2017 – feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary, in the vesper at the chapel of the Provincial House of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Tam Ha, Thu Duc, Vietnam 13 aspirants joined in the rite of starting their Postulancy.
In the sacred of the evening prayer I of Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, and in the family spirit, with the presence of the Sr. Rosa Vu Thi Kim Lien, the Provincial, the superiors , the sisters, novices and aspirants, 13 candidates for the postulancy expressed their desire: "We desire to make a deeper personal relationship with Christ, to serve the young. We would like to start the postulancy. We promise to make our efforts to live the Gospel in joy, in accordance with Salesian spirit.
Then, the aspirants recieved medals of Don Bosco and Mother Maria Mazzarello, the sign of being accepted as new postulants in Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. After that, the community listened to Sr. Rosa’s sharings.
Sr. Rosa recalled the words of Mother Mazzarello to her first sisters: "This is the time to revive the fire" in order to invite the community to blow away the ashes of the soul, to burn up 3 flames:
- The flame of love for Mother Mary in order to live her experiences of praying and deeply associating with Jesus, to become the true disciples who were called and sent;
- The flame of the united sisterhood, living the truth and charity
- The fire of the conviction: each soul is the vineyard of God. He himself is our director, we are just the managers. Become good managers to produce sweet fruits according to will God’s.
Filled out with happiness of experience of God’s love, like Mary and with Mary, new postulants exalted the Magnificat to God.
Thank the Lord for the good things You have been doing on them. May they generously respond to God's call to love with trust and confidence, believing that there is always the presence of God, Mother Mary Help of Chirstians, Don Bosco, Mother Mary Mazzarello, Saints, the sisters, parents, relatives and young people ...on their new journey!
