Companion of Youth - Australian way 2017

By Cl. Tristan O'Brien

Melbourne, Australia -- "The Salesian Youth at Prayer" was compiled and written over several years and arrives at a collection of prayers, reflections, biographies and resources covering many aspects of Catholic and Salesian life. True to the charism of the Salesians, the book focuses on the perspective and needs of the young. In this way, it may be understood as a companion to all young people in their life, and relationship with God and each other. It is in the words of Don Bosco that the book begins, and these words are true for everyone who opens these pages: “Take courage and pray.”

The Youth Prayer book of 120 pages is published in Melbourne, Australia by the 'Salesians of Don Bosco'.

From the introduction By Cl. Tristan Francis O'Brien:

"I have prepared this book that is may offer you helpful prayers and information. It's a collection of prayers and reflections for you to pray, say, think, reflect and enjoy. With this book, you can pray by yourself, in a group, in Church, in a park - wherever you feel called to pray.

I'm confident that when we open ourselves to a life of prayer we will grow in our relationship with God. May our Saviour, Jesus Christ, our Blessed Mother, Mary Help of Christian, our Founders, St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazarello and our Patron, St. Francis de Sales, all join us as we live and pray together.

May prayer be a foundation for every day that God gives!"
