Making Know Don Bosco through the drama
Tetere, the Solomon Islanders, 16 August 2016 -- How to make know Don Bosco to our 200 students? Most of them does not know our Father and Saint before coming here in Tetere, Don Bosco Rural Training Center for their 2 year course.
A great opportunity is coming every August 16, when we try to involve all of our trainees in the celebrations with songs, dance and drama. Everybody is involved and get know little by little by whom is our RTC inspired and named.
Majority of our trainees have not much school experience. But they are involved in the stage, text, music and drama performance. During 60 minutes they make Don Bosco alive - also for their parents, who are very surprised to see the tranformation of their children.
Most of the Solomon Islanders are outgoing character, hence everybody does the best to be identified with the person he/she was entrusted to play. During the practice of Don Bosco drama everybody was involved and for me it was a precious opportunity to reflect, how much am I identified with Don Bosco and his heart overflowing with loving kindness.
