'+Description+': The description of a provincial conference is somewhat more circumscribed than that of a region. A conference must meet at least once a year to study problems concerning the animation and coordination of their joint Salesian activity. The conference is presided over by the regional councillor or his delegate; while normally conclusions are guidelines, in special cases the conference can make binding decisions which come into force after approval by the Rector Major with the consent of his Council; conferences have delegates in addition to provincials attending them; conferences may have observers and consultants involved; conferences have a range of specific tasks involving study, coordination, liaison, experimentation, a range of possible structures (secretariats, offices, other).

'+Context (examples of use)+': The provinces of each conference meet at least once a year (R. 139)

'+Other notes+': A provincial conference might be considered as part of the category of ''juridical circumscription'', in the context of Constitution 156 which determines that the Rector Major with the consent of his Council can divide the Society into juridical circumscriptions (normally provinces or vice-provinces) or define them in a different way - it is this latter which could include the provincial conference.

'Giovane Provveduto' is a short form). A loan term is not translated whereas a calque is. A blend is where two (or more) morphemes or 'word' parts have been combined to form a single term, as in the case of 'austraLasia'.
