If you can't get to Colle, go to Kep!
SIHANOUKVILLE: 15 July 2012 --  The Don Bosco Vocational Centre, Kep, now an offshoot of the Salesian community in Sihanoukville, has been in rapid development in the past few years, but what strikes the Salesian eye in particular, at the moment, is the latest idea - a little piece of Colle in Kep!

It is really a garage wall, but cleverly painted and decorated to give young Cambodians who attend the centre an idea of where it all began and what Don Bosco's house looked life when he was a boy at Colle.

Behind the wall there is a large photo of the original at The Becchi, with explanations in Khmer and English.

The Centre opened in 2000 with a small program of sewing, while the campus was dedicated to retreats and big gatherings from other provinces. It was run by Don Bosco Phnom Penh until 2011. In October 2011 The Don Bosco Children Fund decided to develop this centre to cater for young people from the provinces of Kep, Kampot and Takeo which provide many students for Don Bosco Sihanoukville and Don Bosco Phnom Penh. The initial programs are social communication, sewing/housekeeping and front office. By October 2012 it will include fine arts, representative arts and electricity.
